New RSA tax rebates from 1 March

The new South African tax rates come into effect from 1 March and there is a small difference in the tax rebates and tax thresholds only. The actual tax rates remain the same and there has been no changes to medical tax credits or any other payroll element. We do however await promulgation of a proposed change to the ETI remuneration from R 4000 per month to R 4500 per month before suggesting a payroll change. Please log onto the Payslip website for more information or to download the tax rebate change for your version.
