Budget Speech – New tax rates for payroll

The budget speech has thankfully provided no surprises to payroll processing and we are busy programming the tax tables to be released shortly. A mail will be sent out with instructions on how to download the new files and what changes need to be made to your pay categories for Medical Tax Credits, Provident, Pension and Retirement Funds. Don’t be concerned if you need to process the first run in the new tax year, the changes can be backdated once the tax tables have been installed.

If you need assistance with installing the tax tables and changing pay categories please book a consultant now so that we can schedule an on site or a remote login. Bear in mind that we have discounted our Remote Login support fees for February and March considerably in order to ease the cost of support. It is also highly recommended that you take advantage of the Remote Access Monthly Support Bundle. Please remind your staff to note their motor vehicle odometer reading as at 29 February so that it can be used when filing their individual tax returns if they receive a travel allowance or re-imbursive mileage claim.
