The TERS UIF benefits are being paid out within 10 days of receiving employer claims – IF employers have been diligent in sending their payroll declarations to UIF every month. If these declarations have not been done, the claims have to be verified first.
The UIF payroll extract is a file that is produced from the payroll software in a special format and then emailed to declarations@labour.gov.za every month as part of the normal payroll process.
Payroll Administrators: If you have not submitted UIF declarations before, please go back and submit at least, January to March's payroll extracts.
